Cohortion Christmas Party
Last night was the second (and last) annual Cohortion Christmas Party with my MPH cohort. We spend so much time together in the classroom and lab that it's nice to hang out without thinking about business plans and chronic diseases and powerpoint presentations. Drew and I missed out on this party last year, so I'm really glad we went this year. Paul and Julie graciously hosted our shindig in their fantastic house; yes, house. All of us apartment dwellers are immensely jealous.
The attendees included...

Emilie + Allie + Perla; Ben + Amber Julie + Paul; Josh + the most festive Christmas sweater ever

Drew + Me; Becca + Justin + Perla Mahonri + Becca; Mallory + Clark; Kelsey + Jordan
The festivities included...
:: Canine Entertainment ::
[This only fostered my persistent desire for a big, yellow dog.]
:: Thumbwar ::
[Perla and Kelsey both have miniature thumbs, so they finally found themselves in a fair match.]
:: A White Elephant gift exhange ::
[Gifts included relish, a musical doll complete with spinning head, science books, chocolate chips,
Richard Simmons' No Butts About It VHS, a toy gun set, a carved faux elephant tusk, and a Tahitian Noni bag.]

We made out like bandits with the relish and singing doll.
:: Target Practice ::
[Ben hit the relish on Drew's head twice in a row.
Whoa, accuracy, especially with a $1 gun that shoots suction darts.]
:: and plenty of delicious food ::
We had a great time, enough fun I think to propel us smoothly through our last few assignments together. It's been so great to get to know these cool cats over the last year and a half. We'll be dispersing throughout next semester, all in very different directions; I can't wait to see what's next for everyone.
