Christmas Eve 2012

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Caroline was the donkey (not a mouse),

The sheets were hung on little heads with care,
In hopes that of that very first Christmas they might become aware.

The audience was nestled all snug together,
While scenes of their most embarrassing moments made them glad that families are forever.

Finally to the gifts kiddos flew like a flash,
To tear open the paper and transform it to trash.

When what to their twinkling eyes did appear,
But pj's and ponies and some cool Hulk gear.

Then to the kitchen so lively and quick,
To leave pacis and cookies and a note for St. Nick.

To bed with littles, to await Santa, the jolly old elf,
And to home with Drew, Lori, Lisa, and myself.

And we all exclaimed as we drove out of sight,
Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
