Michael + Deanna

On Friday night, we made a trip to the grand old growing city of Salt Lake to celebrate the marriage of Michael, Drew's cousin, and Deanna, Michael's new, beautiful wife. It was their day, but there are no pictures of them here - they were far too busy doing those wedding day things you do (cutting cake, making toasts, dancing, and smiling) to be caught by our camera. The reception was lovely, complete with yummy food, elegant decorations, good company, and a healthy dose of happy tears from the bride, her groom, and both of their fathers. We were joined at our table by Lori and Stuart and Amanda (also a cousin of Drew's), so the localized entertainment was actually the heart the party for us.

The reception was in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building downtown, so after we had consumed as much rich, delicious food as our bellies could handle and said hello to as many extended family members as we could identify, we headed outside to watch the sun set in Temple Square.

It was a love-filled evening in a lovely place; I'm glad we were lucky enough to be spectators at Michael and Deanna's oh-so-important and oh-so-beautiful day.
