Surprise! Not.

It's pretty difficult to plan a surprise party for someone with whom you usually share most life details. Especially when he comes home an hour early, before most guests have arrived. Even though there was no climatic "surprise!" and Drew had to blow up his own balloons, it was a night and a 25th birthday to remember. Our tiny apartment was filled to the max with Drew's friends from school, church, work, childhood, and his mission, a few relatives, plus a baby and a puppy. Either he needs fewer friends or we need a bigger house.

All in all, 

great people + delicious food + good conversation + Guesstures = one fun birthday party
