A Brownie Break

Spare moments, yummy treats, and quality togetherness time have been in pretty short supply lately. 

But all three finally converged for a little while tonight. 

Thank goodness.

Don't be fooled; Duncan Hines crafted this brownie mix. 

I did, however, add flour to adjust for our high-altitude residency.

Salmonella and splinters? So not scared.

 Infused with walnuts, just for this poor, tired, over-worked kid.

Served a la mode, of course, for both of us.

And enjoyed in front of The Waterboy.

Someday the stresses of school won't be so incessant.

In the meantime, I'm thankful for momentary brownie breaks, 75 cent VHS tapes at D.I.,

and the chance to do this life, under all circumstances, together.
