Lilly Lake: Day Two
We got up bright and early on Saturday morning, a little damp and a little groggy, but refreshed with crisp mountain air and ready to soak up more of the sights.
First, we walked just a few yards from our campsite to Lilly Lake so Aaron could try fly fishing among the lilly pads. He didn't find any fish, but I did find a teeny amphibian.
After a super sweet, but delicious, breakfast of Dutch oven apple cobbler, we packed up our gear and left Lilly Lake to head up the mountain a little further to Mirror Lake, the more famous, but more populated, lake in the area. The guys tried a little more fly fishing, and we all enjoyed seeing the sights and putting our toes in the cool water.

It was such a beautiful day--perfect company, perfect weather, and perfect scenery. We headed home in the early afternoon, just barely escaping an approaching thunderstorm. After lunch at a little local grill in Kamas, we made the drive back to Provo (Jaimie and I both napped, Drew and Aaron chatted). We learned a few things (like that flashlights are necessary, sleeping pads are good, and one of us needs to buy a station wagon) and made some wonderful memories with some wonderful friends. What a great conclusion to a great summer.
