February 2016 [in phone pictures]

A quick recap of February 2016:

*bubbles at the duck pond with Aunt Jennifer * storytime at the library * new Chucks! (a replacement for the originals, purchased for me by Drew in 2003) * checking out the new community center (the perfect place for free play on rainy days)

* a visit to the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences * an early attempt at dressing herself (she had help with the button) * more bubbles with Ninny * resting in a warm, soft spot (clothes fresh out of the dryer)

*sick and swinging (with her beloved Mulan for company) * sick and styling (another foray into independent dressing) * still sick (sometimes, when a sick kid will only touch barbecue Fritos, you just let it go) * a trip to the old Krispy Kreme in downtown Raleigh (the warm, fresh donuts are so worth the drive)  

*still recovering... (February brought all of us one of the worst and most enduring colds we've experienced) * a playdate with Naomi's BFF Lila *discovering a love for honey

*Naomi's first trip to a movie theatre, courtesy of Mimi and Papa (not even Kung Fu Panda could keep her attention; after she was full of popcorn, we spent the remainder of the movie running around in the lobby) * the fire pit that tried to ruin our lives for last few weeks of February (part of it is on our side of the property line, which caused all sorts of problems when trying to close on our house) * bliss in a swing
