Yates Mill Park

Snapshots from a Labor Day weekend hike at Yates Mill Park! I'm afraid the content is comprised of equal parts cute baby and interesting fungi; what can I say, I just love them both. Given the toxic potential of many mushrooms, we tried very hard to keep the two subjects in separate photos (and general geographies). We've only taken Naomi into the woods (unleashed, anyway) a handful of times. It's so fun to watch her explore a wilder world than the one she encounters in our apartment and neighborhood parks, but it's also semi-stressful. Ledges. Thorns. Stumps. Those poisonous fungi...  In spite of some healthy parental worry, a lot of unanticipated humidity, and a slightly overtired baby, we had a lovely time in a lovely place.
