Barnes Beach Vacay: Part 1

[Although you wouldn't know it from the content on this blog] we spent a lot of great time at the beach this summer, ranging from quick, last-minute trips planned at 3pm on Friday afternoon for just Drew, Naomi, and I to a couple of full-house weekends with varying portions of the Barnes family. Christie's family, anticipating a move to a wintry Minnesotan wonderland, planned a two-week Indian Beach vacation at the end of July, and we joined them for two consecutive long weekends. We've missed the Thompson kiddos since leaving Utah (when they looked like this!), so spending some concentrated time with them in the flesh was a real treat (Skype is great and all, but it doesn't do hugs). We took a billion pictures; here are some of my favorites:
