BYU vs. Portland

On Saturday night, we went to our very first BYU basketball game in the Marriott Center. We've seen the cougars play once before, but the game was held in the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City - where the Jazz play. With Peter and Jill and Lisa in town for the long weekend, and with two free tickets in the good seats courtesy of Lori's boss, we figured it was as good a time as any to check that item off of the before-we-leave-Provo to-do list. BYU played the Portland Pilots, and apparently beat them badly (we wouldn't know first-hand, since we only stayed through the half-time show).

We had a great time - the hot dog-nachos-giant pickle smell of sporting events is always surprisingly pleasant, and cheering on a team, even from the cheap seats, is a blast. Plus, who knows when or if we'll ever do this again. To-do list item accomplished. Memory made. Sounds like a successful evening to me.
